Internet Resources
Below is an example of linked sites from the CUAccelerate class on physical sciences. As you teach using the linked sites, check to make sure they are active before you get to them in the lessons. Often sites change, pages are moved, etc. Sometimes we need to find alternate resources for those that have disappeared.

In some of the education classes we have used state education sites for standards, methods, etc. Although these do not change location as often as commercial sites, it is still good to check that they are current and do reflect the content of the lesson. Here is an activity from an MA class called Community of Learners that illustrates the idea.
Activity 1

Your first activity this week, as we look at Equity and Access, is to view a portion of a documentary produced by PBS, entitled A Class Divided. If you have access to the entire video through your school or district, it is certainly worth the time and effort to view the entire video. This video is based on the research of Jane Elliott and is a landmark study on this issue. Before you view the video, review the following articles about her to help understand her perspective on equity and access.
