Navigating
the Course |
Depending on the course, a variety of navigation links will be present on the opening page of the course. Some are common to all while others are very specific to a course. The icons may be a little different from course to course, too, but they link to the same location. Here is a breakdown by specific types of content you would find under each. |

Each course has a weekly listing of some type. It generally contains the readings, assignments, discussion board topics, etc. for the week, along with due dates for the assignments. It helps to keep life organized and the class moving forward. |

This is a critical section. It is critical because the description of the assignments, the written work, the presentations, etc. are given in great detail. The idea is to be as unambiguous as possible, since this is the source of their information as to what should or should not be included in an assignments. They are working on these assignments at their own time and do not have face-to-face access to you to get the information clear. |

Depending on the course, a number of items can be included under resources. They will find a guide for APA style citations for their papers, along with a link to the library web site. Included is a tune-up for the browser so that it works well with WebCT and help information. |

For classes using typed chat, a log is posted after the chat so they can read through the materials that were discussed. More will be said about this under the Chat section. |
