By nature, most of us do not like to waste space. Our tendency is to pack as much information on each slide as possible. This does not work in a presentation. The visuals are not the entire message, only highlights of the target points. The details are in the oral presentation. The slides are to be visual reinforcement of the words you say. Keep the number of words on the slide as short and concise as possible. If you find it difficult to reduce the number to a manageable size, consider making two slides and putting half of the information on each slide.
