Meet the Staff

Hey all! My name is George Allen, and I am in my second year here at Concordia. I currently am majoring in theology and plan to eventually go on to seminary to become a pastor of some sort somewhere. Some activities that enjoyably take up my time include listening to a wide variety of music, following professional southern California sports, reading non-fiction almost exclusively, watching a movie every once in a while, practicing saying the alphabet backwards, and wondering if a metaphor is like a simile. Anyways, I hope to see you in the Writing Center some time soon, as I would greatly enjoy sitting down and talking to you about your journey through the writing process. One author summed it up nicely when he said, "I'm not a very good writer, but I'm an excellent rewriter." Let's strive for excellence and keep re-writing.

Hey there! My name is Jocelyn Post. I am a sophomore here at Concordia majoring in Christian Education Leadership as a part of the Director of Christian Education Program. In addition to my major and program, I have two minors—missiology (the study of mission work) and creative writing. Eventually, I’d like to combine my major, program, and two minors by serving as a DCE or short-term missionary overseas and writing about my experiences. Typically, I enjoy writing creative nonfiction and poetry pieces but every now and then, I even enjoy a good research paper. I love to read (I pretty much own the Barnes and Nobles classic section), play soccer, listen to music, watch Gilmore Girls, and spend as much time as I can outside.  In addition to hanging out and reading your papers in Theta Lounge, you can find me participating in various clubs/organizations on campus such as Cui Bono, Beloved, and ACTS.

Hello!  My name is Jess Siebert and I am glad you are curious about the Writing Center.  I am a junior at Concordia, majoring in English.  I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, hiking and camping, and literature.  This is my second year as a writing center consultant.  I love literature and writing, helping people who love literature and writing, and helping people learn to love literature and writing, so come visit!
